I'm happy to announce that the second book I recently illustrated "The Wish Trees" , written by Andrea Koehle Jones, is already available on several places like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Target, among others... I received my first copies recently and I though what a better way to celebrate with all my blogging friends than to do a giveaway!
I'll be giving away 2 books with bookmark included. So if you like a signed copy with a special message or something in particular you want me to write in, this is what you have to do.
Send me an image no more that 600 px wide, jpg of an illustration you think demonstrates the importance of a tree. It can be anything you find could work for this topic but has to fit the children's book category. Specially because the judges will be my 2 kids. The real thing... kids, the little people that ultimate really know what works in children's books :o)
Remember to send the illustration along with the link you'd like me to include it with. Please name the subject of the email "The Wish Trees" and you can send it to alipadron(at)gmail(dot)com (you know what i mean). I will be posting them here for everyone to enjoy. The deadline is Friday 4th of July, very important date... right? :o) The winners will be posted Monday July 7th.
The idea of this lovely book is to encourage kids to plant trees and help them make the world a better place. It is printed in recycled paper and a portion of profits from sales of this book will be donated to children's environmental projects.
Also there will soon be a campaign to send copies of The Wish Trees to AIDS orphans in Africa.
